Types of kitchen worktops
Granite Kitchen Worktops
Granite is a natural stone that comes form all over the world. It has been formed over thousands of years. Why not put some of history in your kitchen? Because it is a natural stone it has a lot of character. Slabs all have small differences, and no two kitchen worktops will be the same. Granite is a heat resistant material (we would still not recommend putting hot pots of pans directly onto the surface) which makes it outstanding in Kitchens and hearths (fireplaces). It can also be used outside for BBQ areas and so much more.
Quartz Kitchen Worktops
Quartz, also known as Composite Quartz or engineered stone. It is a man-made material. Made from Quartz and Resin. Quartz is the most popular in our selection of stone, due to a couple of different factors. There is a wide range of colours and uniformed designs, almost too many. It is easy to maintain. Quartz is scratch, stain & heat resistant.
Ceramic Kitchen Worktops
Ceramics is the newest material in the kitchen worktop space. The non-polished versions are scratch, stain and heat resistant. Making it the most durable out of the selection, making it more expensive than the Quartz. Ceramics have a very modern look and feel to them. Like the Quartz Ceramics come in many colours and designs, but Ceramics many are not full bodied. Meaning that the pattern and design is only on the top of the material. The sides are a solid colour. Some companies are beginning to create full bodied but still not the same as other materials.
